After many years benefitting from the JGP as a reader and an author, I recently accepted the invitation to join as Associate Editor.
As a reader I appreciated the comprehensive style of the journal, and shared the consensus in the research community that its papers are “good to study”.
As an author I realized that the tough review process more often than not led to acceptance and major improvements in the final product. This helped the ego, bruised by the occasional rejection…
Now, and after a few months as associate editor, I confirm that the editorial meetings and decisions are guided by the single goal of helping researchers get the best “product” out. As our chief editor likes to say, the JGP is run by researchers and for researchers.
If you have a manuscript, communicating good work, do send it to the JGP!
